Rack Fabrication
Pre-built head-end racks fabricated, wired, tested and labelled in our UK facility before they ever reach site. Every cable terminated, every connection measured, every loudspeaker output verified — reducing installation time, eliminating field errors, and providing a rack that is ready to plug in.
Our standard build covers everything from compact 12U units up to 36U / 3300 W full PAVA racks. Each project receives a dedicated build station, a single engineer accountable for the build, and a witnessed Factory Acceptance Test before the rack is sealed for transport.
What’s in a Voxiss Rack
19" rack chassis selected for the project — floor-standing or wall-mount — with all U-positions populated, blanking plates fitted, and cable management installed.
Mains intake, isolators, distribution, and EN 54-4 power supply equipment with sealed lead-acid battery banks sized to the project standby calculation.
EN 54-16 certified voice alarm controllers and IP-amplifiers wired and configured to the project zone matrix.
Managed switches, fibre patch panels, SIP gateways and OCC links pre-configured and pre-tested as part of the rack build.
External cable interfaces marshalled to a dedicated patch panel for clean field termination — reducing on-site time and eliminating misidentified circuits.
Every cable, every device, every output labelled to the schematic. Complete as-built rack documentation pack issued with the rack on delivery.
Build Process
Design package reviewed by the build team, equipment kitted to the bench, and a sequenced build plan agreed with the project engineer.
Devices fitted, wiring loomed and dressed, terminations made to the design schedule. Continuity tested at each step.
Software loaded, zone matrix configured, dummy loads applied, every output measured. Internal test pack signed off by a second engineer.
Witnessed Factory Acceptance Test with the client. Rack sealed, palletised, and dispatched with full documentation pack.
